Explanation:

As given by SOH-CAH-TOA

tan is equal to opposite/adjacent.

therefore for A, the opposite would be equal to 2, and adjacent would be equal to
√(5) as the hypotenuse is never referred to as an adjacent side. so the answer would be tan(A) =
(2)/(√(5)) however, to rationalize the denominator you must multiply the fraction by
(√(5) )/(√(5) ) .


(2)/(√(5)) *(√(5))/(√(5)) = (2 * √(5))/(√(5) *√(5))

then simplify


(2 √(5))/(5)
