The answer is 6 cm. Step by step explanation : the formula for pythagorean theorem is square root of a^2+b^2 which gives you c^2 so if you place the 3 and the 5 in the square root and square then you will get 9 + 25 in a square root which would give you 34 if you add the two and the square root of 34 is 5.8(to 1 decimal place) it’s honestly up to you if you would like to round up to a whole number which would be 6 cm. The Pythagorean Theorem states that in a right triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides. In this case, c^2 = 3^2 + 5^2 = 9 + 25 = 34, so c = √34.
