y = -5x - 5

Explanation:

if you count the rise and run from one point to the other, in each case it goes up 5 (rise of 5), then left one (left is negative, so run of -1). according to slope formula m = rise/run, so m = 5/-1 which is the same as -5.

so in slope intercept form, you know y = -5x + b.

b is the y-intercept, or the point where x=0. from the graph it's easy to see that when x is zero, y is -5. so, b = -5.

when you put it all together, the equation is y = -5x - 5
