Answer:y=29 x=17

Explanation:

(6x+19)° + (2y+1)° = 180°

And since m and n are parallel (3x+8)°=(2y+1)° ,using this equation solve for either x or y and plug that into the 1st equation.

3x+8=2y+1

3x=2y-7

x=(2y-7)/3

pluging this into the 1st equation

(6x+19) + (2y+1) = 180

(6((2y-7)/3)+19) + (2y+1) = 180

((12y-42)/3 +19) + (2y+1) = 180

(4y-14+19) + (2y+1) = 180

4y+5+2y +1 =180

6y+6=180

6y=174

y=174/6

y=29

Then plug this in to either the 1st or 2nd equation and solve for x

3x+8=2y+1

3x+8=2(29)+1

3x+8=58+1

3x+8=59

3x=51

x=51/3

x=17

Create two equations and system of equations with the properties of parallel lines about corresponding angle to be congruent and linear pair equal to 180 3x+8=2y+1
2y+1+6x+9=180
Use the calculator if allowed or use the elimination or substitution method
