12. Peyton stated that she thought that the sum of the measures of interior angles in a triangle was always 180° but when she measured the angles in 10 triangles using a protractor, the sum wasn't always exactly 180°. Why do you think this happened? What might you say to Peyton? ​

When measuring angles with a protractor, there is the possibility of human error in any of the following:

➜ error in drawing the triangles

➜ error in reading the protractor

➜ error in lining up the protractor with the triangle

addition errors

➜ other

I would say to Peyton to double-check their work and confirm the protractor lines up with the sides of a properly drawn triangle.
