Answer:

The length of the missing side is 21 cm.

Explanation:

a^(2) +
b^(2) =
c^(2)

a^(2) +
28^(2) =
35^(2)

a^(2) + 784 = 1225

a^(2) + 784 - 784 = 1225 - 784

a^(2) = 441

\sqrt{a^(2) } =
√(441)

a = 21

a^2+b^2=c^2. In this case, b=28 and c=35. Plug into equation. a^2+28^2=35^2. Simplify and you get a^2+784=1225. Get a^2 by itself so subtract 784 on both sides to get a^2=441. Then, to get a you do the square root of 441 which is 21. So the answer is 21.
