So I did the work, but it won't let me upload a picture of it, so when I solved it my answer that I had gotten foe this solution was x(-2/7,48/7).

Explanation:

Use this formula to find the point X.

([mx₂ + nx₁] / [m+n], [my₂ + ny₁] / [m+n])

Where m:n is the ratio, and the points are x₁, y₁ and x₂, y₂.

The formula can be thought like this:

When the midpoint of a line is taken, we take the average of the x coordinates and the average of the y coordinates. This is in the ratio 1:1.

If we were to take the point on a line in a ratio [m:n], we take the weighted average.

X = ([3*2 + 4*-2] / [3 + 4], [3*4 + 4*9] / [3 + 4])

∴ X = (-2/7, 48/7)
