Explanation:

The graph of f(x + 1) will be the same shape as f(x) except every point will be shifted 1 unit to the left. So, for example, the point (2, 2) will move to (1, 2) and (4, -2) will move to (3, -2). The whole graph moves 1 unit to the left.

-f(x + 1) will be f(x + 1) flipped over the x axis.

So for example (3, -2) ----> (3, 2) and (1, 2) -----> (1, -2)
