To join two sentences, words, clauses, or phrases, conjunctions are used. Here, 'so' is the required conjunction that establishes a connection between the two sentences.
There are basically three different types of conjunctions-
1. Coordinating Conjunctions-
For example, and, or, nor, but, so, for, yet, etc.
2. Subordinating Conjunctions-
For example, because, although, when, until, since, while, etc.
3. Correlative Conjunctions-
For example, Either or, Neither nor, not only, both and, but also, etc.
