Explanation:

First find the area of the square using the l*l=A: 10*10=100

Then, find the area of the triangle using the formula (b*h)/2: (4*10)/2=40/2=20

Now add the area of the 2 shapes: 100+20=120

Therefore the area of the figure is 120
