The coordinates of the midpoint of GH are M (8, 0) and the coordinates of one endpoint are H (-2, 9).

H(-2 , 9) ⇒
x_1 = -2 \ & \ y_1=9


\left((-2+y_1)/(2),(9+y_2)/(2)\right)= \left(8,0 \right)

Compare x and y co-ordiantes,


(-2+x_2)/(2)= 8 \ ; \ (9+y_2)/(2)=0

Cross multiply,

-2 + x₂ = 16 ; 9 + y₂ = 0

x₂ = 16 +2 ; y₂ = -9

x₂ = 18

G(18 , -9)
