3x+5y=7
3x+5y=-4

She says, "I can tell just by looking that this system will have no solutions." What does she mean? How can she tell?

Answer:

Explanation:

Subtract equation 2 from equation 1:

3x + 5y = 7

-(3x + 5y) =-( -4)
