Boris wants to plant grass in his backyard. His backyard is in the shape of a rectangle. Its length is 27 feet and its width is 26 feet. Suppose each pack of seed covers 16 square feet. How many packs of seed will he need to cover the backyard?

Explanation:

you first start by multiplying the length and the width of his garden to find the total area of it

26 x 27 = 702

then, you divide 702 by 16 to figure out the amount of packs of seeds he will need

702/16 = 43.875

since he doesn’t have an extra .875 of garden to plant seeds in, you will not need to round up, and Boris will only havw to purchase 43 packs of seeds
