If 7 oranges cost $7.70, then the cost of 15 oranges is $16.50.

We have,

The number of oranges purchased varies directly as the price of the oranges.

If the cost of 7 oranges is $7.70.

It is required to find the cost of 15 oranges.

As their is direct relation between number and oranges and price.

So,

The cost of 1 orange is
(7.70)/(7).

For finding the cost of 15 oranges, multiply 15 by
(7.70)/(7) such that,

\text{C}=15*(7.70)/(7)

\text{C}=16.50

So, If 7 oranges cost $7.70, then the cost of 15 oranges is $16.50.
