GOVERNMENT

To control and regulate the events of a country or area, administrations are governed by a framework of regulations, norms, and organizations. The basic duty of the government is to enact and uphold laws that uphold peace and stability and protect the liberties and welfare of its people. The political system, culture, and history of a nation can all have a significant impact on the way a government is organized and runs.

REASONS WHY GOVERNMENTS ARE HAVING DIFFICULTIES

1. Lack of Resources

  • Governments might not have sufficient funding to engage in initiatives to reduce poverty for a variety of reasons, including a shortage of resources, a large quantity of debt, and other competing demands.

2. Corruption and Inefficiency

  • Government incompetence and corruption can result in improper use of cash and resources, which can impair the provision of essential services and programs to the underprivileged.

3. Lack of Political Will

  • Governments can have a lack of political will to fight poverty, either because there isn't agreement among political leaders or because there are other political priorities.

4. Structural Issues

  • Wider underlying abnormalities including unfair wealth and resource allocation, social injustice, and prejudice can be the genesis of poverty and may call for long-term and systemic improvements.

5. External Factors

  • Governments may find it difficult to combat poverty due to financial and ecological problems like recessions, natural catastrophes, and environmental degradation.
