\sqrt[3]{1 - x} = - 1


1 - x = - 1


x = 2


{(x - 2)}^{ (1)/(4) } = 2


x - 2 = 16


x = 18


\sqrt{ {x}^(2) + 7} = 4


{x}^(2) + 7 = 16


{x}^(2) = 9


x = - 3

x = 3 (not shown) is the other solution.
