Question 1:
It is an equilateral triangle. This means all the angles will be the same.
Angles in a triangle add up to 180 degrees.
All three of those angles ADDED TOGETHER is 180 degrees.
So to find the size of EACH, divide 180 by 3= 60.
Answer: 60 degrees
Question 2:
The shape has 4 sides, so it is a quadrilateral. This means the sum of all the angles in the shape are 360 degrees.
130+102+46+ 278
The sum of the angles given is 278 degrees. The sum of the whole shape’s angles are 360 degrees, so you subtract 360 by 278.
360-278=82
Answer: 82 degrees
Question 3:
The shape has 6 sides, so it is a hexagon.
The formula for finding the sum of all the (interior) angles is:
(number of sides-2) x180
(6-2)x180
4x180
=720
So the angles must add up to equal 720.
10x+8x-16+12x-8+7x+2+9x+4+6x+10=720
Simplify: 52x-8=720
52x = 712
x = 13.7 to one decimal place (i think i’m wrong but i had a go)
Question 4:
The shape is a pentagon, so to work out the sum of all the angles:
(number of sides-2)x180
(5-2)x180
3x180
=540
123+113+97+90= 423
540-423= 117
So the angle opposite the missing angle of the PENTAGON is also 117 degrees, because opposite angles are equal.
So x is also 117 degrees as those two angles are equal too.
x= 117 degrees (i may be wrong)
(i’m so sorry if i’m wrong on any of these. tbh i’m not confident with my answer on question 3 or 4 so it may be wrong)
