Find the distance between (-3, -5) and (9,-10)

The distance between 2 points formula is:

The difference of the x points + the difference of the y points, then square root it.

So the x points are 9 and -3 and the y points are -10 and -5.

x: 9-(-3)=12
y: -10-5= -5

12+ (-5) = 7

Now, square root 7. You can either write it as 7 with a square root on it, or use your calculator to find it’s 2.645751311 (2.6 to 1 decimal place)
