Which quotient is equivalent to the mixed number 2 and 2/3

A. 3÷7
B. 7÷3
C. 3÷8
D. 8÷3

Firstly, you convert 2 and 2/3 into an improper fraction.
You multiply the denominator, 3, by the integer, 2, which is 6. Then add that to the numerator, 2, which is 8.
So 2 and 2/3 as an improper fraction is 8/3.

8/3 is the same as 8 divided by 3. (The line in between the numerator and denominator literally means divide).

So I think the answer is D.
