  • To get the area of a triangle first split the triangle into 2 halves making a right triangle. This will make the dimensions 2.5 for base and 10 for height.
  • Do base x height of the right triangle to get the full triangles area. (2.5 x 10 = 25).
  • You now know the area of one triangle which there are four of in this problem so you can do 4 x 25.
  • The surface area of the triangles is 100.
  • Add the area of the base (25 + 100).
  • The surface area of this figure is 125 in^2
