By where it says your brothers bent in half, he’s not actually bent it half. But this shows us that he is scared, and is not himself and is very angry. This helps the reader get a ideal and contributes to the point he’s angry.

The hyperbole adds to the tone to resemble how mad your brother is at you and to the meaning it shows how your brother is really feeling
