Manny uses a sprinkler system to water his lawn. Each lawn sprinkler sprays a distance of 9 feet in every direction. One lawn sprinkler is broken and is only spraying two thirds of the area it usually covers. How many square feet of the yard is being watered by the broken sprinkler? Leave the answer in terms of π.

6π square feet
12π square feet
27π square feet
54π square feet

54(pi) ft^2

9 is the radius
A = (pi)r^2

A = 81(pi)
81(pi) * 2/3 = 54(pi) ft^2

It would be the first one, A. 9 is the radius and you times it by 2/3 and you get 6
