Suppose (-2,4) is (x1,y1)
And (-1,-5) is (x2,y2)
Midpoint =(x1+x2/2, y1+y2/2)
=(-2-5/2,4-1/2)
=(-7/2,3/2)
=(-3.5,1.5)

Answer:

(- 1.5, - 4.5 )

Explanation:

given endpoints (x₁, y₁ ) and (x₂, y₂ ) then the midpoint is

(
(x_(1)+x_(2) )/(2) ,
(y_(1)+y_(2) )/(2) )

here (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 2, - 4 ) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (- 1, - 5 ) , then

midpoint = (
(-2-1)/(2) ,
(-4-5)/(2) ) = (
(-3)/(2) ,
(-9)/(2) ) = (- 1.5, - 4.5 )
