qustion 6:the value of b is 56

question 8:6

1. The pipe cleaner triangle could include measurements of:8, 8, 14 OR 8, 11, 11.

Isosceles triangles must have at least two congruent side lengths (or legs). If 8cm is the measure of a congruent side, then the other congruent side must be 8, leaving the base to measure 14 (for a total of 30). Alternately, 8 could be the base and we could divide the leftover by 2 to get the congruent side lengths.

2. We can make an equilateral triangle with two sides 10, 10, and 10. If you make a bend 8 cm from the left side and a bend of 2 cm on the right side, then make a bend in the middle of the 20 cm portion.
