number of summers ago I visited a resort built on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake was located in a remote area of northern Wisconsin. A combination tractor and wagon were part of the resort maintenance equipment. Curious as to how the tractor and wagon had been brought to the island, I inquired as to how this had been accomplished. I was told that neither the tractor or wagon had been ferried there by boat, either as assembled or disassembled vehicles. I was also told that there had never been a bridge or a tunnel to the island, that the vehicles were not amphibious, nor had they been flown to the island. When told how they had been brought there, it seemed very simple indeed

Answer:

it seems that the tractor and wagon were likely brought to the island in some disassembled form, and were then assembled on the island itself using the available resources. This would explain how the vehicles could be brought to the island without the use of a boat or an amphibious vehicle.
