In Spain, there is something called “siesta” or “descanso". It is a period of time in the afternoon during which people go home to enjoy a leisurely lunch with their families. School children are often sent home for lunch and many businesses shut down. After a couple hours, schools reconvene and businesses reopen. What do you think of this practice? Why do you think it is done? How do you think this would affect school, sports, and other activities?

Your response should be 3-5 sentences long and show that you’ve thought about the topic/question at hand. Please be aware we are looking for YOUR PERSONAL OPINION and there is not a single “correct answer.” should be in english

I think its purpose is to allow people to rest and escape the midday heat during the hottest hours of the day. It also allows families to spend time together and enjoy a leisurely lunch. While it may disrupt school and work schedules, it is a valued part of Spanish culture and lifestyle. It may affect sports and other activities that typically take place during the afternoon, but it also provides an opportunity for people to recharge and return to their activities later in the day.
