Answer:

  • 13\pi \: ft

Explanation:

To find:-

  • The circumference of the circle in terms of π .

Answer:-

We are here given that the diameter of a circle is 13ft . We are interested in finding out the circumference of the circle.

Firstly we know that radius is half of the diameter . So we can calculate the radius as ,

\longrightarrow r =(d)/(2) \\

Substitute the respective value ,

\longrightarrow r =(13)/(2) \ ft\\

\longrightarrow r = 6.5 \ ft \\

Secondly we can find the circumference as ,

\longrightarrow \boxed{\rm Circumference= 2\pi r } \\

where "r" is the radius of the circle.

On substituting the respective values, we have;

\longrightarrow C = 2 \pi* 6.5 \ ft \\

\longrightarrow \boxed{\boldsymbol{ C = 13\pi \ ft }} \\

Hence the circumference of the circle is 13π ft .
