You work in Daffodil Lodge Care Home as a health care assistant and you see another member of staff physically abusing a resident. The staff member is pulling the resident out of bed instead of using a hoist and being very aggressive. The elderly gentleman is instantly left with marks on his arms and is crying due to the harsh movement.

Describe what you would do in this situation, what actions would you take? How would you know what to do?

I would stop the assistant from abusing the resident and help him or her out of the bed then report the assistant and get him or her fired
