1. agree: stereotypes are grouping together a large group under one assumption, this can be damaging to the people of said group and more often than not they are grossly misinformed.
controversial: some stereotypes are not viewed as offensive in peoples opinions because it promotes positive things however all of them are deeply rooted around misinformation and again, assumptions.
2. disagree: parents do not need to be overly involved in your love life, its your decision and you need to make mistakes. its not up to your parents to control who you date. its your judgement.
controversial: parents often think they know better, many may say its done to protect you.
3. disagree: being from a different background doesn't define who you are as a person. we can help one another understand and therefore we can get a wider knowledge and be able to sympathise or empathise with others.
i don't think its controversial: you get people from all over in completely different and unique situations, youre never going to meet someone with the exact same life as you.
4. agree: for a person to be friends with people or to be seen with them, they have to share at least a few common intrest and be able to put up with certain behaviours. its a relatively accurate representation of them as a person.
controversial: unless you know the people you don't truly know why they would be friends, sometimes opposites attract. it would be unfair to base someone on those they are around.
