M.A.D is mean absolute deviation.
It is found by adding the number of elements and dividing by the number of elements in the data set.
For example:
Let’s find the average amount of days it’s rainy in a town for 7 months
Example: 20, 27, 25, 15, 17, 22, 28, these are the amount of days it’s been rainy for the past 7 months.
Then find the mean by adding all the elements. So add them all it equals 154.
Now divide it by the number of months which is 7.
So 154 divided by 7 is 22
Now calculate how far each element is away from the mean. Use the absolute value because distance is always positive.

It equals 28 now divide by the number of elements (7) you get a MAD of 4
