The reading of the idealized ammeter if the battery has an internal resistance of 3.26 ohm is 2.46 A.

How the reading of the ammeter?

The reading of the idealized ammeter if the battery has an internal resistance of 3.26 ohm is calculated as follows;

1/R = 1/45 + 1/18 + 1/15

1/R = 0.1444

R = 1/0.1444

R = 6.9 ohms

The reading of the ammeter is calculated as follows;

V = -Ir + E

IR = -Ir + E

IR + Ir = E

I (R + r) = E

I = E / (R + r)

Where;

  • r is the internal resistance

I = E / (R + r)

I = (25 V ) / ( 6.9 + 3.26)

I = 2.46 A
