equating the denominator to zero and solving gives the values of x that cannot be in the domain of h(x)

x² - 5x - 6 = 0

(x + 1)(x - 6) = 0

equate each factor to zero and solve for x

x + 1 = 0 ⇒ x = - 1

x - 6 = 0 ⇒ x = 6

then x = - 1, 6 are values not in the domain of h(x)
