Physics The function f(x) = 50.000(0.975)", where x represents the underwater

depth in meters, models the intensity of light below the water's surface in lumens per
square meter. What is the intensity of light 200 meters below the surface? Round
answer to the nearest whole number

We assume the intensity function is

f(x) = 50,000(0.975^x) . . . . x

Use 200 for x and do the arithmetic.

  • f(200) = 50,000(0.975^(200)) \thickapprox \bold{316 . . . . lumens/m}^2
