Answer: y= -x

Explanation:

slope-intercept form is y=mx+b

however, to plug in the coordinates, you need to know:

A. the slope of the points given

B. point-slope form which is y-y1= m(x-x1)

Step 1. find the slope

slope (m)= rise/run or y/x

in your table, when y=2, x=-2, so 2/-2= -1

m= -1

Step 2. plug coordinates into point-slope formula

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y-(2)=(-1)(x-(-2))

Step 3. solve

y-(2)=(-1)(x-(-2)) change the sign from -2 to +2 by distributing the -

y-2=(-1)(x+2) distribute the -1

y-2= -x -2 isolate the y by adding +2 to both sides of the equation

y= -x
