(you won’t need the radius of the full circle)

Explanation:

I think I will be interested to find out how this is solved without at least the radius of ONE of the circles..... only knowing it is 11 cm wide will not help you find its area...

see image below......both 'rings' are 11 cm wide....but they obviously have different areas !
