(−5, −4) = x1 , y1

(−3, −5) = x2 , y2

The slope is calculated using formula:

Slope = y2-y1/x2-x1

=-5-(-4) / -3- (-5)

= -5+4 / -3 + 5

= -1/2

The slope for the pair of coordinates is

= -1/2

What is the slope of the line that contains the points (−5, −4) and (−3, −5)? −1 negative-example-1
