Explain why st. louis, missouri, has colder winters and warmer summers than san francisco, california, even though the two cities are at about the same latitude

Answer:

because it's more up north east, so if given a map of the u.s. with temps you will see places such as Washington, Idaho, Wisconsin, and other such states that are more up north, you will see it's colder compared to California, Texas, Florida, and other states that are southern.

that's just what I think though
