Let x be the number of sunflowers in each row.

Mark planted a total of 72 sunflowers. Since the sunflowers are planted in equal rows.

The equation we get,

x × 2x =72

simplifying the eq.

2x² =72

divide the eq. By

x² = 36

Now take the square root both the side we get

x= 6

therefore, Mark planted 6 sunflowers in each row.
