If a person is lying in the hot sun, their nervous system would respond by activating the sweat glands in the skin to produce sweat, which helps to cool the body down through evaporative cooling. This process is controlled by the hypothalamus in the brain, which acts as the body's thermostat and regulates body temperature.

The endocrine system would also respond to the heat by releasing hormones such as vasopressin and aldosterone, which help the body to retain fluids and maintain blood pressure. Additionally, the adrenal glands would release cortisol, which helps the body to cope with stress and inflammation caused by heat exposure.

The integumentary system, which includes the skin, would respond by producing more melanin to protect the skin from UV radiation, and by dilating blood vessels near the surface of the skin to release heat through the process of vasodilation.

The circulatory system would respond by increasing blood flow to the skin's surface through vasodilation, which helps to release heat from the body. The heart rate may also increase as the body works to circulate blood and maintain blood pressure.
