Summer spent $15.25 on ingredients for cookies she's making for the school bake sale. How many cookies must she sell at $0.10 apiece to make a profit?

Answer: more than 152.5 cookies

Explanation:

$15.25/$0.10=152.5(multiple)

so if you sell 152.5 pieces of cookies, you'll neither gain nor lose.

if you want to make a profit, the number of cookies must higher than 152.5.

if x =the number of cookies you can make a profit. Then x>152.5

it can be 153, 154, 155.....................(pieces)

but it can't be 153.5, 167.2...................(pieces)(must be an integer)
