Current THROUGH 7.7 ohm resistor is .25 A

V = IR = 7.7 * .25 = 1.925 V

Current THROUGH 4.9 Ω resistor is also .25 A

V = IR = 4.9 * .25 = 1.225 V

Summed = battery V 1.925 + 1.225 = 3.15 V
