Find the Area of the triangle. Please help with the correct formula. I am not sure if this calls for finding semi perimeter then the area or just using basic formula of bxh/2 since all 3 sides are known. ThanksA

Explanation:

For any traingle: Area = 1/2 base * height

For a RIGHT triangle such as this , the base and height are the LEGS :

= 1/2 7 x 9 = 31.5 in^2

You only need Heron's Formula ( semi-perimeter) when you have the side lengths but not the 'base' and 'height'
