Answer:

33.75m²

Explanation:

Split Figure into 3 shapes (Rectangle, Triangle A, Triangle B)

Rectangle: 6.5×2.8=18.2

Triangle A: 1/2×6.5×(5.8-2.8)=9.75

Triangle B: 1/2×2×5.8=5.8

18.2+9.75+5.8=33.75m²

Answer:

A - 33.75 m²

Explanation:

the figure is composed of a trapezoid (left) and a triangle on right

the area of a trapezoid is calculated as

(1)/(2) h (b₁ + b₂ )

where h is the perpendicular height between the parallel bases b₁ and b₂

here h = 6.5 , b₁ = 2.8 , b₂ = 5.8 , then

area =
(1)/(2) × 6.5 × (2.8 + 5.8) = 3.25 × 8.6 = 27.95 m²

the area of a triangle is calculated as

(1)/(2) bh ( b is the base and h the perpendicular height )

here b = 2 and h = 5.8 , then

area =
(1)/(2) × 2 × 5.8 = 1 × 5.8 = 5.8 m²

the area (A) of the figure is then the sum of the areas of the 2 parts

A = 27.95 + 5.8 = 33.75 m²
