Blue tail is a recessive trait (b) in Mendeliens, while orange tail (B) is a dominant trait. Muffy the Mendelien has an orange tail. Her maternal unit (mom) has a blue tail, and her mate has a blue tail. What percent chance is there that Muffy’s next offspring will have a blue tail?

I believe it would be a 50% chance as there are two recessive traits with one dominant trait. But there only has to be one dominant trait in order for the offspring to have a the dominant trait for the orange tail.

The pairing would be Bb and bb which would leave it as a 50/50 chance of it either being blue or orange.
