Answer: The name of this treaty with Gahwal was called Treaty of Sugauli. This treaty established the boundary line of Nepal.

Explanation: The treaty with Gahwal was signed on 4 March 1816 between the East India Company and Guru Gajaraj Mishra. Nepal tried to enlarge it's domains just after the Unification of Nepal under Prithvi Narayan Shah. It conquered much area of Sikkim in the east and, in the west, the basins of Gandaki and Karnali and the Uttarakhand regions of Garhwal and Kumaon.

Due to this there was a

conflict with the British. At that time, British used to controll the northern plains between Delhi and Calcuttadirectly or indirectly.
