Answer: 48 = 6(x) (I think)

Explanation: To find this I did 48 first. because this is the TOTAL amount of cookies. Then, since the youth bought 6 boxes, we need to find how many cookies are in one box. To solve, we would factor 6x and 48, so It would look like this:


(6x)/(6) =
(48)/(6)

The 6x divided by the 6 would cancel out, so we don't need to worry about that. So, now we need to find out what 48/6 is. That would be 8. So,

X=8

There are 8 cookies in 1 box

48= 6(8)

48 = 48
