A bag contains 4

blue marbles, 4
green marbles, and 2
yellow marbles. Sydney selects a marble without looking and then puts it back. If she does this 5
times, what is the best prediction possible for the number of times Sydney will pick a yellow marble?

First recognize the word “puts it back” meaning this is a replacement problem so the denominator does not change from 5, because 5 marbles will be in there each time. The same goes with the 2 yellow marbles, you are not keeping them out after you pick. It is asking So set up the problem like this:

2/5*2/5*2/5*2/5*2/5

The reason you multiple 5 times is because you are picking it 5 times.

The answer comes out to 32/3125 for the probability.

Im confused If it’s asking for that or not but lmk and I’ll change it. Hope it kinda helps
