The different stages of mitosis are:
- E. Prophase
- B. Metaphase
- A. Anaphase
- C. Telophase
- D. Cytokinesis
1. Prophase: Chromosomes condense, nuclear envelope dissolves and spindle fibers begin to form.
2. Metaphase: Chromosomes align at the cell's equator called the metaphase plate.
3. Anaphase: Sister chromatids separate and are pulled toward opposite poles of the cell.
4. Telophase: Chromatids reach the poles, nuclear envelopes re-form and chromosomes begin to decondense.
5. Cytokinesis: The cell divides into two daughter cells each with a complete set of chromosomes.
