Answer is
1) area of shaded area = 14.13 m
area of the remainder of circle = 345.87

2) hypotenuse = 10cm

Step by step
1)
Area of a circle is A=TT r^2
A= (3.14) (6)^2
A= 3.14 x 36
A= 113.04
Now we want to find out just the shaded area

There is 360 degrees in a circle
We are finding 45 degrees of 360 = 1/8
1/8 of 113.04 = 14.13 m

2) hypotenuse is found using formula
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
6^2 + 8^2 = c^2
36 + 64 = c^2
100 = c^2

√100 = √c^2
10 cm = c

Answer:

1. I don't know

2. 10

Explanation:

c=\sqrt{a^(2)+b^(2) } = \sqrt{6^(2)+8^(2) } = √(36+64) = √(100) = 10
