X =-4, Y =-1

Explanation:

Y= 19+5x

Substitute into the first equation

-3x -8(19+5x) =20

-3x-152-40x=20

-3x-40x=152+20

-43x= 172

X = -4

Sub-x=-4 in the 2 equation

-5(-4)+y=19

20+y=19

Y=19-20

y=-1
